26th Portland Annual Rose Art Show 2008

It is rather costly to travel from Timisoara to Portland, to enjoy the Portland Rose Festival.  But we can be present in Portland, for the Rose Festival, with something that carries our spirit: paintings and pictures that represent the high school students in our city.

The first encouragement for such a participation we received from Marylin Clint, from Portland Rose Festival.  She liked the idea and she put us in contact with Mr.Jack Miller of the Oregon Society of Artists.  On a phone conversation, Mr.Miller very kindly agreed that we participate at the Rose Art Show with 6 paintings.  We sent more than 6 paintings to allow a supplementary selection according to the taste of artists in Oregon.  We are very thankful to Portland Rose Festival Association and Oregon Society of Artists for making our participation possible.

If you are in Portland, it would be an inexcusable mistake not to visit this Official Event of the 2008 Portland Rose Festival at:

The paintings and pictures that we sent are displayed below:

We hope that these paintings would be the core of a traveling exhibition in USA and Romania.  We would like that
high school and university students in Portland join this traveling exhibition.
We are also looking for organizations that would like to host this exhibition: public institutions, private businesses, schools and universities.

Do you have ideas? Write us!

This is the proof that 11 paintings and two pictures flew to Portland. Their arrival was confirmed on May 17th, 2008.

The paintings are delivered by Mr.Jeremy Hyde to Mr.Jack Miller, the President of Oregon Society of Artists.  After seeing the real pictures, it was decided that all 11 pictures sent will be displayed in the exhibition.
