The Celebration of the Rose 2008, Mandruloc

Eutopia Gardens Park is the result of a passion, of the enthusiasm of one person for flowers. Ms.Mihaela Buzatu has a flowers Internet sales business, but her interest is much larger than just business.  Eutopia Gardens Foundation started in 2002 the construction of a dendrologic / flowers park (26 ha) near the village Mandruloc, Arad, with the desire to open it for the public from 2010. The Eutopia Gardens Park is under development, but already has more than 1500 varieties of roses from the entire world, and they are blooming in this period of time.

On June 7th, 2008 Eutopia Gardens Foundation organized in the park the first edition of the “Celebration of the Rose”, together with the promoters of the Cities of Roses and Community Civic Education projects. The project was centered until now on two cities, Timisoara Romania and Portland, USA, both cities having the Rose as their symbol. The festivity had important specialists as guests like Mr.Stefan Wagner, the President of the Friends of Roses Association and Prof.dr.Ana-Felicia Iliescu from the University of Agronomical Sciences Bucharest.

An important part of the event was the Art Exhibition with paintings, graphics and pictures.

You can imagine that you participated at this event if you look at the effort made for Preparing the art Exhibition and at the Exhibits at the Mandruloc Art Exhibition 2008. Or you can look at the Prizes Awarding Ceremony at the end of the exhibition.

The efforts made by the organizers from The Eutopia Gardens was absolutely impressive. The event would have not been possible without the participation of Universities and High School students from Timisoara. Other sponsors of the event are: the City Hall of Timisoara and Waldomar srl.
