To: Mr.Dorel Jurcovan May 8th, 2008 Dear Mr.Jurcovan, I found out with pleasure of your project “Cities of Roses” and I want to express my appreciation toward your efforts and the dedication of everyone involved in promoting it. I consider that the project objectives, aiming to stimulate communication, connections and exchanges between the cities of Timisoara and Portland, in different fields of activity, have the potential to contribute to a consolidation of an important component of Romanian-American relationships. The Romanian Embassy in Washington encourages the development of such direct cooperation between local communities in Romania and United States of America and supports the initiatives that could induce benefits in enlarging business relationships, promoting the image of Romania in USA, expanding the cooperation between universities, strengthening the ethnic identity of American Romanians and their connection with their country of origin.
